This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the strategic financial management of our organization. As a Senior Accountant, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles, financial software, and regulatory standards to support accurate reporting, streamline processes, and enhance overall financial health. Your proactive approach and analytical skills will drive efficiency and accuracy across all accounting operations. Duties Prepare account reconciliations and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday. Oversee payroll management activities utilizing systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments. Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to support month-end close activities and financial reporting requirements. Perform account reconciliation tasks regularly to verify data integrity within the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers. Assist in audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on technical accounting practices. Strong knowledge of GAAP standards along with experience working with various financial software such as PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or Sage. Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, data entry (including 10 key typing), and account reconciliation processes. Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex and benefits administration procedures. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts and perform detailed account analysis. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
