Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Essential Functions:
Ability to understand written and oral instructions and execute them with limited supervision. Business math. Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Dynamics SL. Working knowledge of General Ledger Accounting. Effectively working and cooperating with supervisors, co-workers, and clients. Following the directions of supervisors. Refraining from causing or contributing to disruption in the workplace. Regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
Functional Accountabilities:
Assist in month-end close process, including: Preparation of physician financial packets Reconciliation of lockbox account to Billing System Reconciliation of 401(k) transactions to payroll systems and general ledger Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to sub ledgers and other systems Preparation of monthly closing journal entries Preparation of other monthly supplemental reports as needed Preparation and posting of month-end closing and allocation entries Prepare and balance bank reconciliations for department managed accounts Prepare and balance bank reconciliations for all department managed accounts. Prepare invoices and backup documentation and maintain accounts receivable for intercompany shared accounts. Maintain transactional records of health claims, flexible spending account claims and patient refunds Assist Assistant Controller of Physician Services and other accounting staff as needed. Maintain adequate supplies and perform housekeeping duties in the office area. Willing to perform any task assigned by management or helping other employees, if necessary to meet deadlines. Special accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree or Accounting College Courses required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred One to two years experience in a comparable Accounting position.
