Full Job Description Description:
The Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations through advanced accounting analysis, reporting, budgeting support, and month-end close activities. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data, analyzes trends and variances, prepares reports for leadership, and helps improve financial processes and internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in accounting principles, financial systems, and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Planning:
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and conducting monthly, quarterly, or annual variance analysis.
System Integration:
Manage the integration of commission and royalty data with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar).
Process Improvement:
Automate data workflows, improve reporting efficiency, and identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Commission Calculation & Validation:
Calculate complex monthly sales commissions based on multiple pay structures.
Royalty Administration:
Analyze contract terms, calculate payments, prepare and distribute royalty reports.
Quota Management:
Track and analyze employee sales performance against set goals (quotas). Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly reports to key stakeholders. Perform complex month-end activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
5+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables) and Power BI.
Systems Knowledge:
Experience working within an ERP or accounting system (e.g., NetSuite or similar)
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical ability to update and investigate discrepancies in data sets.
