This role is ideal for someone who has strong accounting fundamentals but is excited to move beyond traditional manual processes. We are looking for an accountant who wants to use AI, automation, and modern accounting tools to streamline client work, improve accuracy, reduce repetitive tasks, and deliver better financial information. This position is not simply about processing transactions. It is about building smarter workflows, reviewing technology-assisted output, verifying accuracy, improving processes, and helping clients receive cleaner, more timely financial results. What You'll Do
  • Use technology, AI-assisted tools, and automation to improve accounting workflows.
  • Review AI-generated or system-assisted accounting work for accuracy, completeness, and professional judgment.
  • Verify, refine, and enhance accounting results before they are delivered to clients.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and general ledger activity.
  • Assist with entity income tax return preparation for business clients.
  • Identify inconsistencies, missing information, unusual activity, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Help improve workflows for monthly close, financial reporting, client follow-up, recurring compliance work, and tax preparation.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify information, resolve questions, and provide practical financial insights.
  • Document repeatable processes so work can be performed more consistently, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve service quality, turnaround time, and client experience. What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, client accounting services, or similar experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, general ledgers, reconciliations, and month-end accounting.
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
  • Strong technology mindset with a desire to streamline recurring work wherever possible.
  • Interest in using AI responsibly to review, summarize, analyze, and improve accounting workflows.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-assisted results, catch errors, apply judgment, and improve the final work product.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and recurring accounting cycles.
  • Proactive problem-solver who looks for better ways to get work done.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients in a professional, helpful, and service-minded way. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a CPA firm, public accounting firm, or client accounting services environment.
  • QuickBooks Online certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience with entity income tax return preparation.
  • Familiarity with cloud accounting tools, workflow software, document management systems, and client collaboration platforms.
  • Experience improving accounting workflows, templates, checklists, automations, or recurring client processes.
  • Curiosity about AI and how it can improve accuracy, consistency, documentation, communication, and client service.
