  • 65000K Annual SBCS are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients' growing team.
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting functions and supporting the financial operations of our company. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for budget variances
  • Assist with annual audits and tax filings
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for management and clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
