Job Summary:
Required:
  • Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and work effectively as part of a team
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA, EA, LTC, or other relevant tax credentials
  • Experience in public accounting or tax preparation
  • Experience preparing S Corporation and/or individual tax returns
Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Associate/Tax Accountant to join our CPA firm in a full-time, in-office role. This position focuses on the preparation of S Corporation and/or individual tax returns, with opportunities for increased responsibility based on experience and skill level. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, technically capable, and works well in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple client engagements and deadlines.
Duties Include:
  • Prepare federal and state S Corporation (1120S) and/or individual (1040) tax returns
  • Analyze client financial information to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance
  • Coordinate with clients to gather required documentation and respond to tax-related questions
  • Maintain organized workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of engagements
  • Perform tax research and stay current on tax law and regulatory changes
  • Assist with tax projections and quarterly estimated tax calculations, depending on experience
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate recommendations to clients and firm leadership, depending on experience
  • Review work prepared by junior staff and provide mentorship, depending on experience
