Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support a fast‑paced manufacturing environment in Milwaukie, Oregon. This long‑term contract role will support core accounting operations and daily financial accuracy, with close collaboration across accounting and operations teams. Ideal for someone who values structure, consistency, and starting their day early. The regular schedule has a flexible start between 6-7am! Key Responsibilities + Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable activities including invoice entry, general ledger coding, matching, deposits, and weekly check runs + Post transactions to the general ledger and support daily cash activity + Assist with inventory accounting and intercompany transactions + Complete account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness + Support billing and invoicing processes + Maintain accurate financial records within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central + Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner + Contribute to month‑end close support and overall accounting compliance Requirements

• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.
• Demonstrated expertise in general accounting practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to handle intercompany accounting and inventory entry tasks effectively.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
