Job Overview:
Join a dedicated team supporting public health initiatives as an Accountant II. In this vital role, you will manage financial operations, monitor grant and contract budgets, and ensure compliance with federal and agency standards. Your expertise will help strengthen fiscal processes and contribute to meaningful public health programs, making a tangible difference in the community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management, organization, and reading comprehension abilities. Ability to work independently with high attention to detail. Experience with financial record keeping, invoice processing, and grant management is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with fiscal systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor shared invoice inbox daily, review invoices, identify coding for payments, and route for approval. Update tracking tools in Excel and lead weekly invoice review meetings to address challenges. Contribute to audit-strengthening record keeping with uniformity and completeness. Reconcile contract invoices by reviewing payment history to ensure obligations are paid timely and accurately. Follow established processes to ensure federal grant compliance. Support fiscal analysis by tracking, compiling, and generating financial data for grant budgets, fiscal operations, and contracts. Assist in reviewing and coding invoices, processing travel claims, purchasing supplies, and preparing grant setup requests. Provide fiscal reports and analyses to program managers, contractors, and external entities. Explain financial reports and grant information to internal and external advisory committees. Why Work for
