This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, taking ownership of accounting processes, and contributing to the overall success of the finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers strong visibility within the organization and opportunities for long-term growth and advancement. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Prepare financial reports and support management reporting needs Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation activities Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles Experience with month-end close and financial reporting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively Preferred Experience CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required Experience in industries such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, nonprofit, or professional services is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary ranging from $75,000-$95,000 DOE Comprehensive benefits package Career growth and advancement opportunities Collaborative and supportive team environment Hybrid flexibility available with select opportunities If you are looking for a stable and growth-oriented opportunity within a reputable organization in the Portland area, we encourage you to apply.
