JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant performs various accounting duties to support the business and ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with
GAAP. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A
working knowledge of accounting practices at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting or business or related field, or equivalent experience; and A minimum of two years' experience in financial management, general accounting, or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Thorough knowledge of standard accounting procedures, Company policies and all relevant federal, state, and local requirements. Requires strong organizational skills and ability to plan, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner. Must be able to perform problem analysis and problem-solve. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and Dexter and Chaney's Spectrum are desired. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Spectrum Viewpoint or other construction accounting software.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the development, implementation and/or maintenance of corporate accounting systems related to collection and analysis of costs and/or budgets. Prepare or assist in the preparation of general accounting and financial documents for the Company. Prepare various cost/statistical reports (i.e. administrative overhead expense reports, corporate budgets, fringe benefit cost analysis, etc.) for management as required/requested. Design, complete, and maintain spreadsheets and databases necessary for assigned duties. Assists in the maintenance and implementation of accounting software, databases, and Dexter and Chaney's Spectrum. Prepare and analyze account reconciliations. Perform/participate in internal audits. Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary range: $60,000 - 70,000 annually. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401 (k) with company match. Paid Time Off (PTO)
