Job Description:

We are partnering with a professional services organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee field accounting operations and lead a high-impact accounting function supporting multi-site field operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who understands how accounting connects directly to operational execution and enjoys working cross-functionally with field and operations leadership. Highlights Competitive Base + Bonus + Profit Sharing High-impact role with direct exposure to operations leadership and executive stakeholders Strong focus on process improvement, controls, and financial visibility Opportunity to lead and shape accounting processes at scale Exposure to ERP optimization and transformation initiatives Clear trajectory within a growing, evolving finance organization Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee field accounting operations including month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting Manage, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals (direct and indirect reports) Drive improvements in close timelines, accuracy, and accounting efficiency Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies Partner closely with operations leadership to provide financial insight and support decision-making Standardize accounting processes across decentralized business units Support ERP optimization and broader finance transformation initiatives Serve as escalation point for complex accounting and operational issues Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Corporate Accounting, and IT Required Qualifications 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience managing accounting teams Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, and internal controls Experience working in operationally complex multi entity environments Strong communication skills with ability to partner effectively with operations leadership Ability to translate accounting concepts into operational impact and business insights
