Our in-house tax team plays an integral role in supporting holistic financial strategies by ensuring compliance, optimizing tax outcomes, and collaborating closely with financial advisors and clients. Position Summary The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex individual, trust, and business tax returns, providing tax planning strategies, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver seamless financial services. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and small businesses Conduct year-round tax planning and projections for high-net-worth clients Advise clients and internal teams on tax strategies, compliance matters, and regulatory changes Collaborate with wealth advisors to align tax strategies with financial and estate planning goals Respond to client inquiries and serve as a trusted tax resource Monitor IRS and state notices; assist in responding to tax authority inquiries Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax documentation and client records Contribute to process improvement and implementation of tax technology tools Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's in Taxation (preferred) CPA or EA designation (required) 5+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a public accounting or wealth management environment Expertise in individual tax returns and planning Strong understanding of tax implications for investment income, estates, and trusts Proficiency in CCH Axcess Suite and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
