Job Description:
The Staff Accountant will be a key player in ensuring the financial health and accuracy of operations. Responsibilities include general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile the general ledger for accurate financial records. Record financial transactions in compliance with accounting principles and company policies. Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct cost analysis to optimize manufacturing expenditures. Collaborate with operational teams to monitor and analyze manufacturing costs. Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely vendor payments. Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections. Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Reconcile balance sheet accounts in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits. Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation. Stay updated on accounting regulations and ensure adherence to financial reporting standards. Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Three or more years of experience within a manufacturing environment is required Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing Experience using Syteline and QuickBooks is a plus. Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting
