Job Description:
Robert Half is partnering with an organization in the Canonsburg area who is looking to hire a Sr. Accountant! Job Description We are looking for a hands-on accounting professional to manage core accounting functions across multiple entities. This role will play a key part in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, audit support, and process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Key Responsibilities Manage month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and profit and loss statements for multiple entities Support annual audit preparation by developing schedules and gathering required documentation Oversee the daily work of Accounts Payable and billing personnel Perform monthly reconciliations for a range of general ledger accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Maintain fixed asset records and related schedules Review and reconcile inventory cycle counts Work closely with the Controller and leadership team on reporting, margin review, and profitability analysis Assist with accounting system implementations, updates, and upgrades Analyze budget-to-actual and forecast variances and investigate discrepancies Help strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls What We're Looking For Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to succeed in a fast-moving, evolving environment Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving Experience working with multi-entity accounting structures Capability to manage full-cycle accounting responsibilities while supervising support staff Systems Experience QuickBooks Desktop Syteline Experience with inventory scanning technology or QR-based inventory systems is a plus Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 3-10 years of relevant accounting experience Oil and gas industry experience preferred Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
