Join our Team and become the Future of Freight. About the Position The Senior Accountant is a skilled, knowledge-driven role with accounting experience and strong communication and analytical skills. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Assistant Controller and other staff members to achieve business objectives through record-keeping and compliance activities, working within the broader accounting team to focus on timely and accurate reporting of financial results to executives, investors, and lenders. Key Responsibilities Perform accounting functions for month-end close including, but not limited to, journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare financial reports, analysis and supporting schedules to support external financial statement audit and tax preparation. Analyze financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations on accrual-based accounting. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations with financial statement tie out and clear visibility to reconciling items. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies and internal controls. Perform research and ad-hoc projects related to technical accounting. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, with the use of AI or other automation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Settlements, and Financial Planning and Analysis. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an accounting or finance-related discipline. 3-4+ years of progressive work experience, showing evidence of growth in responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound fundamental knowledge of GAAP and general finance and budgeting principles. Proficient in MS Office products with strong Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
