Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Commercial Property Accountant to take ownership of financial reporting for a diverse commercial property portfolio while contributing to process improvements and upcoming system implementations. Opportunity to influence processes and systems during a period of growth High-visibility role with direct impact on operations and reporting Collaborative team environment that values initiative and innovation Exposure to both accounting operations and strategic improvement projects Generous benefits - 100% paid medical, dental and vision premiums What You'll Do Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements for multiple commercial properties Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant recoveries, and related supporting schedules Perform month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Analyze variances, maintain general ledger accuracy, and support budgeting processes Partner with property management teams to resolve accounting issues and improve operational efficiency Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement more scalable accounting workflows Assist with accounting system implementations, testing, data validation, and user adoption initiatives Support audits, reporting requests, and special projects as the portfolio grows What We're Looking For 4-6 years of experience in commercial property accounting Strong understanding of financial statements, CAM reconciliations, and lease-related accounting Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Process-minded approach with a willingness to improve systems and procedures Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
