Full Job Description Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accounting Associate to join our team. This role will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and administrative accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. This role is fully in office at our Headquarters in Erie, PA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform monthly account reconciliations, maintain supporting documentation, and follow up on outstanding unreconciled items to ensure timely resolution. Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger in a timely and accurate manner. Review financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Support timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing and reporting activities. Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy of inventory, billing, and transactions. Collaborate cross-functionally to support smooth and effective financial operations. Analyze financial and operational data to resolve discrepancies, identify trends and improvement opportunities. Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation schedules. Track and monitor project-related expenses to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and budget compliance. Assist with external audits and financial analysis as needed. Ensure compliance with US GAAP regulations as well as all company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred. Demonstrate a proficient level of professional communication, financial analytics, and critical thought processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments. Quick adaptability and ability to apply new tasks. Proficiency in accounting software and intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.
