Job Description
This is the kind of opportunity that doesn't come along very often. A successful and well-capitalized insurance organization has launched a new P&C Reinsurance operation and is looking for a high-potential accounting leader to help build the accounting infrastructure from the ground up. We're not necessarily looking for someone who has already reached the Director level. We're interested in strong Accounting Managers and Senior Managers from P&C Insurance Carriers, Reinsurance Carriers, or insurance-focused public accounting practices who are ready for broader visibility, greater ownership, and a seat at the table as the business grows. Why This Role Is Different Most accounting roles focus on maintaining existing processes. This role is about helping build them. You'll work directly with senior leadership, underwriting, actuarial, and finance teams as a newly launched reinsurance platform continues to expand. What You'll Be Doing Technical accounting research and analysis P&C reinsurance accounting GAAP and Statutory reporting Financial controls and process development Audit and regulatory support Cross-functional work with underwriting and actuarial teams Building scalable accounting processes for a growing business We're Looking For Active CPA required Experience with a P&C Insurance Carrier, Reinsurance Carrier, or insurance-focused public accounting practice Strong GAAP and Statutory reporting experience Technical accounting experience Accounting Manager or Senior Manager level experience preferred Why Professionals Make This Move Newly launched reinsurance platform Exposure to executive leadership Broader responsibility than a typical accounting role Opportunity to help shape a growing business Clear path toward future leadership opportunities
