Job Description

Lancaster area non-profit is seeking an Accountant with at least 5 years of not-for-profit accounting experience to join their team.

Up to $31.25 an hour. BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. Should be able to pass criminal background check. Great opportunity to work for this fine establishment. PMeducation:
BachelorsResponsibilities Oversee /all accounts payables and accounts receivables for all subsidiaries. Prepare/review budgets and other financial reports for related companies. Prepare all monthly account analysis and journal entries for related companies. Perform monthly closing process for all real estate entities and related companies. Determine transaction coding and record all real estate transactions for related companies including purchases, sales, predevelopment costs, and construction draws. Prepare monthly financial statements, actual vs. budget for all the real estate entities using the reporting module in the accounting system. Work with CFO on year-end closings for all entities to include year-end journal entries, debt, investments, accruals, loans, capital assets and depreciation expense. Work with vendor for all systems training and maintenance. Maintain accurate contract files to include financial support documents. Prepare funding source invoices for all project funding. Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Analyze cash sheets to general ledger C\cash accounts for all entities on a weekly basis. Review, reconcile and complete all monthly bank statements for all subsidiaries. Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting or business admin. Minimum 5 years hands-on accounting exp. Experience with non-profit accounting. Proficient Excel and Microsoft Word skills. Contract to hire for this permanent opening.
