Job DescriptionJob Description LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with an institution in the Media, PA area is seeking aSenior Accountant to join its finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, accounting standards, and GAAP. The Senior Accountant will manage daily accounting operations and reconcile a wide range of general ledger accounts including cash, investments, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bookstore, and other assigned areas. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and able to work independently while managing deadlines in a fast?paced environment. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive financial information. Senior Accountant (Full Onsite) -
Media, PA Salary:
$70,000-$80,000 (Direct Hire)
Schedule:
Full-Time, Onsite Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage daily accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP. Perform daily reconciliation of all assigned cash accounts. Prepare and process budget modification requests. Collect, verify, analyze, and maintain financial data for monthly and year-end reporting. Prepare monthly and annual workpapers to support senior management financial review. Complete drawdown and transfer journal entries. Support annual audit activities, including researching variances, preparing schedules, reconciling accounts, and contributing to financial statement preparation. Submit the required Lobbying Report. Enter and maintain accurate ACH vendor information within the internal recordkeeping system. Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable, including weekly check runs. Assist with annual budget development and forecasting activities. Participate in onsite meetings and maintain regular onsite office hours. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field-or equivalent experience and training. Minimum of 3+ years of senior-level accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred:
