This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Job Description The Accountant will act as a liaison to other departments' staff in processing reports, training, accounting, problem resolution, and other assignments under the delegation of the Accounting Director.
Responsibilities:
To provide assistance and backup for accounting functions and systems. To prepare and maintain accounting records, journal entries, and schedules. To perform bank reconciliations, accounting schedules, and month-end closing processes To receive, review, verify, and code invoices, vouchers/requests for accuracy, and timely processing. To ensure fiscal transactions are handled accurately and timely in the prescribed manner to safeguard agency resources.
Requirements:
B.A./B.S.
degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, and four (4) years of experience or any combination of education, experience, and training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and strong analytical and computer skills. Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles. Ability to work effectively with others, as well as at various levels of independence when needed. Detail-oriented. Good communication skills, written and verbally.
