Staff Accountant Wellington Philadelphia, PA Job Details Full-time $30 - $32 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Oracle SAP Bachelor's degree Attention to detail GAAP Data-driven problem-solving Full Job Description The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, and assisting with month-end close processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations Analyze financial data and investigate variances, providing clear explanations Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 1-3+ years of accounting experience (public or private) Strong understanding of GAAP principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
