ODS-ACS Corporation Experienced full-time Accountant needed for a small office with numerous businesses that include oil and gas, farms, ranches, and commercial real estate. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as the ability to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate for this position has an accounting degree, or related field, with some tax experience. This position is not remote, however flexible work hours are possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary liaison between our company and the external accounting firm responsible for preparing and filing our business tax returns. Prior income tax experience with partnerships, corporations, and trusts a plus Prepare business and income tax worksheets Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end processes using accounting software; balance and maintain accurate ledgers Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensation and payroll filing requirements Develop financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets Manage accounts receivable and payable activities Special projects and analysis as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (CPA a plus) 3-5 years experience in general ledger accounting or related roles Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques and financial report interpretation Good understanding of cash flow analysis Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and various accounting software (SBT, Quickbooks, etc) Experience in all aspects of payroll and payroll filing requirements Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations This is a full-time position in a pleasant working environment that may provide for some flexibility in work hours.
