The Accountant 4 manages a team of accounting technicians to carry out the operations of the Department of Law's Reimbursable Service Agreement Section requiring an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, theories, and practices. The incumbent develops, updates, and implements policies and procedures to ensure effective program financial management efficiency and compliance. The Accountant 4 delivers program financial information to Division management to inform decision-making. Additionally, the Accountant 4 prepares the department's legal services rates submitted annually for approval and inclusion to the State-wide Cost Allocation Plan.Our Mission, Values, and Culture:

Juneau offices are on the top floor of the second tallest building in the city, the Dimond Courthouse, across from the Alaska State Capitol building. Anchorage offices are downtown on West 4th Avenue at the Resolution Tower "Brady" Building. Parking included for both offices. Upon completing the probationary period, this position would be eligible to telework.Who We Are Looking For:
Accounting Operations:
Knowledge of general ledger accounting and the control/subsidiary account relationships and reconciliation techniques, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and disbursing officer's accountability.Internal Controls:
