  • City of Chesterfield The City of Chesterfield is hiring a detail‑oriented Accountant to support payroll, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and daily financial operations.
Responsibilities include processing biweekly payroll, preparing invoices and deposits, assisting with budget and audit work, and maintaining accurate financial records. The role is cross‑trained for additional Finance Department duties.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Accounting/Business + 2 years' experience, OR Associate degree + 5 years payroll/accounting experience Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls Strong organization and communication skills Fund accounting experience preferred
Benefits:
8% 401(a) retirement contribution, medical/dental/vision coverage, FSA program, Mercy EAP, $2,500 tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for ongoing training. Primarily onsite; limited remote flexibility (up to one day per week) may be considered after full training.
Hiring Range:
$59,500 to $65,500 annually. This is a non-exempt/hourly position.
