Schedule may be adjusted based on business needs Job Description The Project Accountant supports financial operations related to real estate capital projects , ensuring accurate tracking, vendor coordination, and project closeout processes. This role is critical in maintaining financial accuracy across multiple active projects, supporting cross‑functional teams, and ensuring the timely execution of accounting tasks. This is a short‑term assignment with potential extension based on business needs. The role is ideal for candidates with a strong accounting background and experience in project‑based or capital expenditure environments. Must‑Haves 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience 3-4 years of intermediate Excel experience Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Strong analytical and reconciliation skills Nice to Have Experience with capital expenditures (CapEx) accounting Experience with CAM reconciliations Experience with financial/project systems such as:
Project & Financial Management Manage financial processes for real estate capital projects Support procurement processes and coordinate purchase orders Submit and track invoices accurately Coordinate vendor setup and onboarding Reconciliation & Tracking Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies Track and reconcile landlord contributions (TI allowances, reimbursements, etc.) Review and validate CAM reconciliations from landlords Project Coordination Coordinate utility setup for new and relocated sites Support project closeout activities, including clearing purchase order balances Collaborate cross‑functionally with Project Management, Real Estate, Accounting, and external vendors Qualifications 3-5 years of accounting experience , preferably in: Real estate Construction Capital projects Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities Strong communication skills and proactive mindset Experience with accounting and project management systems (preferred) Work Environment Hybrid schedule with 2 remote days per week Collaborative, cross‑functional work environment Potential for assignment extension based on business needs
