Accountant (contract/remote)

Job DescriptionJob Description LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Accountant for a contract, possible contract-to-hire opportunity, with a nonprofit organization based in the Fredericksburg, VA area. This position is fully remote, with occasional in-person meetings locally with finance leadership. Position Overview Join a small, collaborative accounting team supporting a multi-location retail and ecommerce operation. This role is responsible for core general ledger activities, revenue reconciliation, and month-end close support in a hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Assist with monthly close and financial reporting Reconcile retail and online sales activity, including platforms such as eBay and Amazon Prepare and file sales tax reports Record payroll entries and assist with audit support Provide cross-functional support to AP and AR Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience 5+ years of general accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Experience with Sage Intacct preferred

Compensation & Schedule Contract:
