Position Overview In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with aggregate accounting, including maintaining operational accounting/finance functions for our aggregate line of business for 3 operating companies within the Spokane/North Idaho area: Central Premix, Inland Asphalt, and Interstate Concrete & Asphalt. You will also be responsible for performing various payroll functions for Interstate Concrete & Asphalt. Wage Scale for
Position:
$28.00-34.00 / hr DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) Perform Inventory production entries and manage a wide range of inventories, complete weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting, perform month end activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory cycle counts. Assist with accounting responsibilities such as day-to-day production operations, job cost research, and royalty entries and reporting. Inventory accounting to include product setups, research of obsolete inventory analysis, physical inventory counts and associated variance analysis. Key and verify accuracy of hourly timecards and payroll edit reports. Upload and verify accuracy of Trakit, Bid2Win and Infield payroll data. Key and verify accuracy of equipment usage information. Process payroll and equipment usage according to accounting month end deadlines . Reconcile weekly payroll information including PTO, job cost tracking and prevailing wage data. Input special payments such as final checks and vacation payouts - process manual checks as needed. Prepare various special reports for management and maintain as requested. E ffective and timely communication with Finance and Operations teams regarding periodic reporting and issue resolution. Ensure that the assigned daily operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies and objectives. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or closely related field OR Associate's degree and 3-5 years equivalent accounting experience Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot tables and XLookup Work Qualifications Effective verbal and written communication skills . Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Prioritize and meet deadlines. Work cohesively with a diverse staff of co-workers, both in office and in the field. Demonstrated commitment to achieving organizational goals and objectives. Preferred Qualifications Construction experience is a plus . Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects for extended periods of time. Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus. Standard office environment Work hours:
