A growing real estate development and investment firm is adding a newly created Accountant position as they transition their accounting function from outsourced to in-house. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the CFO and play a key role in building and improving accounting processes within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
The company specializes in the development, construction management, and asset management of multifamily and mixed-use communities in high-growth, transit-oriented markets.

This individual will work across multiple entities and development projects, contributing to the month-end close process, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsPerform account reconciliations (cash, intercompany, etc.)Record journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activityAssist with month-end and year-end close processesReview and analyze property-level financials from third-party managersImport and reconcile financial data within YardiSupport project accounting, including job costing and WIP trackingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisSupport audit, tax, and compliance requirementsAssist with 1099 reporting and related filingsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and reporting accuracy
