Accountant - Entry Level

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in managing project accounting processes and ensuring financial accuracy across various business lines. This position offers a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Set up projects by interpreting contracts accurately and creating job records and structures in Oracle Cloud.
• Input initial budgets and pricing while ensuring compliance with established rate structures and margin targets.
• Track financial performance by monitoring project budgets, analyzing cost trends, and preparing detailed reports.
• Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate effectively with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Project Managers, Billing, and Legal teams to address billing issues and invoice corrections.
• Assist with change orders and maintain documentation flow to support project adjustments.
• Generate ad hoc reports on labor costs, margin health, and other financial metrics.
• Provide support for teams transitioning to Oracle Cloud by addressing data cleanup, reconciliations, and identifying process improvements.
• Cross-train team members as needed to ensure smooth operations.
