In this vital role, you will manage comprehensive financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and passionate about maintaining high standards in financial management. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records. Conduct journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis to support precise financial reporting. Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Ensure regulatory reporting compliance related to securities law, governmental accounting standards, or non-profit accounting as applicable. Support internal audits and assist with external auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Reconcile accounts receivable/payable and perform month-end closing procedures efficiently. Maintain detailed documentation of all financial transactions, including Wills, Trusts & Estate Law considerations when relevant. Manage and run payroll and contractor payments Management reports in Datatruck Track profitability and KPIs in Datatruck Skills Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms. Experience with corporate accounting practices including financial statement preparation and analysis. Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Excellent understanding of technical accounting concepts such as accrual accounting, journal entries, debits & credits, and balance sheet reconciliation. Ability to interpret complex financial reports and conduct cash flow analysis effectively. Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and report writing. Demonstrated experience mentoring junior staff or team members in accounting best practices. Knowledge of securities law or public accounting is advantageous but not required. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organizational skills for account reconciliation and audit preparation.
