Accountant- Full-Time Crisis Center is located in Miller Beach (Gary),

CrisisCenterysb.org We are currently seeking a qualified accountant to add to our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting and have experience working with financial records and QuickBooks.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year end journal entries Update and maintain accounting software Calculate and record department allocations Prepare account reconciliations Assist with financial reporting Document and update processes and procedures Attend remote and in person meetings Coordinate duties with the accounting assistant Back up support for the accounting assistant Assist Director of Finance as needed

Qualifications:
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft office Familiar with accounting software systems Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Familiar with state and federal grants Non-profit experienced (Preferred) BS in Accounting (Required) Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting (Required) Attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills
