As Multifamily Housing Experts, we provide worry-free property management for mid- to large-sized apartment communities and are passionate about delivering exceptional experiences for our clients, residents, and team members. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical accounting professional to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records for a portfolio of properties while delivering timely financial reporting and exceptional service to property owners and internal stakeholders. The position plays a critical role in solving accounting challenges, maintaining organized financial records, and assisting in the month-end close process.

Capacity To:
Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for properties. Complete month-end accounting procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement review. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and consistently. Calculate and process owner distributions in accordance with management agreements and available cash flow. Manage recurring property obligations, including mortgage payments, insurance premiums, tax escrows, and other scheduled disbursements. Monitor operating cash balances and assist with cash management across multiple properties and company accounts. Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts on a timely basis. Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, audits, and special accounting projects. Research and resolve accounting discrepancies while providing financial support to property managers, owners, and leadership. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. You'll Be Successful in
This Role If You Have:
3+years of accounting experience. Experience in property management, real estate, or multi-entity accounting is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of property management accounting systems such as AppFolio, Yardi, Entrata, CYMA, or similar software. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and account reconciliation processes. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
