$112,000.00 - $167,900.00 Job Purpose Serve as the senior individual-contributor CPA and technical accounting subject matter expert for North America consolidation and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and consistent application of IFRS and U.S. GAAP, evaluating complex contracts and new business arrangements including due diligence, and advising NA entities and leadership on accounting conclusions, reporting impacts, controls, compliance matters, and review NA entities financials as assigned. Key Accountabilities
Research, interpret, document, and communicate technical accounting guidance under IFRS and U.S. GAAP

prepare accounting position papers, lead and support implementation of new accounting standards
Evaluate contracts, alliances, due diligence, and new business arrangements for financial-reporting impact and
appropriate accounting treatment; partner with Business, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders during negotiations
and implementation
Improve technical accounting processes, templates, controls, and knowledge sharing; provide technical
guidance, education, training to other Honda business units; create user-friendly technical materials and tools
for none accounting users, covering cross-functional departments, business units, and NA entities to promote
greater awareness and understanding in application on various transactions.
Assist the team by coordinating accounting compliance, update in HM Accounting Policy, and provide
management approved accounting positions with impacted NA entities, HM-C, internal stakeholders, and
external auditors; confirm conclusions are supported, timely, and consistently applied.
Assist in NA consolidation financial close and activities as assigned by Department Lead, including review of
assigned entities' reporting results, intercompany/non-core transactions, CJEs prep/review, and preparation of
analyses for subsidiaries, and relevant NA entities as needed; assist in coaching, and review support within the
team and external accounting teams as needed or directed by Department Lead without direct people-
management accountability
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required CPA required; advanced degree or additional technical accounting credentials preferred
Minimum Experience - 12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, automotive, or multi-entity environments Eight plus years of public accounting, technical accounting, consolidation, and/or financial reporting
experience with at least 1 year of manager-level or equivalent project leadership experience Demonstrated experience coordinating with a global parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, and
cross-functional leadership on complex accounting matters Experience evaluating contracts, alliances, acquisitions/new business models, due diligence, or
other complex arrangements for accounting and reporting implications preferred Other Job-Specific
Skills Deep knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP, including ability to research, interpret, document, and
communicate practical accounting conclusions Ability to lead implementation of new accounting standards and translate technical requirements into
sustainable processes, controls, and reporting outputs Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence
executives and cross-functional partners through expert advice rather than direct authority Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to develop clear analyses,
reconciliations, presentations, and position papers Strong business acumen, service mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple
