Job Description

CFO Services Accountant Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented CFO Services Accountant to provide outsourced accounting solutions to a diverse Department of Defiance client base. In this client-facing role, you will manage core accounting functions while partnering directly with business leaders to support financial operations and decision-making. Key Responsibilities As a CFO Services Accountant, you will: Manage accounts payable, including vendor setup, invoice processing, and payments Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash application, and collections Process and support client payroll, including onboarding, payroll submissions, tax remittances, and benefits administration Maintain general ledger accuracy, including chart of accounts and transaction coding Complete month-end close, including reconciliations and financial reporting Perform budget vs. actual variance analysis Monitor cash flow and future cash requirements Support annual 1099 reporting and filing Enter and classify expenses within accounting and project management systems Learn and utilize accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online and other client systems Partner with client teams to resolve discrepancies and obtain missing data Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies Balance and prioritize work across multiple client engagements Collaborate with internal teams and connect clients to additional firm services Participate in firm initiatives, committees, and community involvement activities What You Bring Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with QuickBooks (Intacct a plus) Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites (within ~1 hour) Key Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness to continuously learn across diverse client environments Awesome Perks for
