- _Under minimal direction, reconcile account balances, maintain the accounting general ledger and accounts receivable system (as necessary), generate and interpret accounting reports, navigate accounting systems, make accounting recommendations, ensure proper classification of costs and allocations, participate in audits and month-end close procedures, effectively analyze financial reports and accounting data in both onsite and remote settings while meeting required deadlines.

- : There is one position available, and this position will be filled at one of four job grade levels: Accounting Analyst I, job grade 6; Accounting Analyst II, job grade 7; or Accounting Analyst III, job grade 8; or Accounting Analyst Senior, job grade 9. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire.

Responsibilities:
- + Properly categorize and record financial information in conformity with United States (US) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Federal Electric Regulatory Commission (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts (USofA).

- Education and Training + Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
+ Ability to perform detailed work with high degree of accuracy. + Ability to develop and maintain collaborative, effective, and cohesive working relationships. + Ability to communicate effectively and timely, both verbally and in writing. + Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, to include but not limited to: Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission guidance of the Uniform System of Accounts (FERC USofA) + Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements and relationships related to internal controls. + Familiarity with accounting allocation procedures, account validation rules and system interrelationships with General Ledger; must understand and be able to apply reconciliation procedures. + Strong understanding of the interrelationships between and among various data systems with the ability to recognize when issues arise. + Knowledge of subsidiary accounting and elimination accounting processes. + Extensive working knowledge of personal computers, computerized accounting systems such as Oracle Cloud, MS Office suite, and familiarity with report writer applications such as Oracle Smart View.Other:
