In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable processes, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, contribute to accurate financial statements, and support the organization's overall financial health. Duties Process and verify accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments while adhering to company policies and SOX compliance standards Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and perform balance sheet reconciliations using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft Assist with month-end closing activities, including financial statement preparation and financial report writing Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and audit trail information in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct account analysis, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy of financial data Manage accounts receivable processes and assist with cash flow analysis to optimize financial management strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects to support strategic decision-making Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or pursuing CPA preferred Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments with a focus on financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and accrual accounting Familiarity with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports Demonstrated mentoring abilities to support team development and knowledge sharing within the finance department #RJAF123
