katief@wolftrap.org Wolf Trap Foundation for the Preforming Arts is seeking a Assistant, Finance (Variable, 0 to 29 hours per week) to provide administrative support and data entry for the Finance Department, with a primary focus on assisting with accounts payable, cash counting and payroll functions. Manage and perform tasks related to the payment of vendors and performing artists, and preparing cash receipts for deposit.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable (40%): Review invoices, credit card transactions and other payment requests for appropriate documentation, coding and approval prior to payment.Handle customer vendor relations including:
research and resolve vendor balance discrepancies, review and confirm vendor payment information, help maintain vendor files. Analyze and resolve accounts payable issues. Respond to all internal and external inquiries in a timely manner. Cash Counting (30%): Count cash receipts, reconcile point of sale register receipts, analyze and resolve any issues, prepare deposits, and prepare change requests for departments. Payroll Support (20%): Assist processing of payroll including data entry and validation of information in the Foundation's payroll system - Paycom. Enter timesheet information for employees as necessary. Assist in the onboarding process for seasonal/variable hiring. Create and distribute employee ID cards for regular full-time employees. Serve as a back-up for the Payroll Manager on certain administrative payroll matters. Administrative Support (10%): Assist with special projects as assigned by Finance staff. Support general Finance team tasks and day-to-day operations. Collaborate with team members across departments as needed. Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree preferred; minimum two years' relevant experience requiredREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge and Paycom a plus Must have a facility for numbers, be responsible and dependable Excellent customer service, organizational and verbal/written communication skills Must be reliable, professional, honest, and maintain all accounting and payroll information in a confidential manner Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet deadlines Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing ArtsPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 85% of the time. Regularly operates a computer and other office equipment (i.e. calculator, copier, printer, etc.). Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, bend and reach with arms. Lift/move up to 10 pounds infrequently.
