Job Description

BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant on behalf of our client, Wagner Forest Management, a successful, well-respected investment management group, providing superior natural resource investment and management services, located in Bangor, ME with flexibility for hybrid work after a period of in-office training. The Corporate Accountant will participate in a variety of activities including preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations as well as performing day-to-day accounting duties in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank reconciliation. The person in this role will perform additional analytical procedures as needed. Maintenance of workpapers to support financial reporting using Microsoft Access and Excel. Communicate with bookkeepers and operations staff regarding accounting matters. Coordinate with the Controller and CFO to support priorities as needed.
You Have:
A degree with 2+ years experience in the areas of general ledger and financial reporting, Working knowledge of the financial statement presentation and disclosure requirements, internal controls, and corporate and partnership accounting and tax issues, Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities, Solid written and verbal communication skills, Attention to detail and accuracy, Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize; Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines, Proficiency in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel formulas and functions and Access databases.
