In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the company's costs, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis. Your expertise will help optimize cost control measures, improve budgeting processes, and ensure compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's financial health and operational efficiency using advanced accounting software and ERP systems. Duties Prepare and analyze cost reports, including detailed cost breakdowns and variance analyses to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Manage general ledger accounting activities, including account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end closing procedures. Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and support forecasting efforts for future financial planning. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining accurate records. Utilize SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other ERP systems to streamline financial data collection, processing, and reporting. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls by implementing internal audit procedures and maintaining documentation integrity. Interpret financial reports to provide actionable insights on cost management, technical accounting issues, and corporate accounting practices. Support budgeting activities by preparing forecasts, analyzing variances, and assisting in the development of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Perform account analysis using debits & credits principles to ensure accuracy in the general ledger and support audit readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes related to payroll, data collection, and financial report writing. Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a focus on cost management or financial analysis. Extensive knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts. Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Sage, Xero or similar software; familiarity with QuickBooks and Quicken is a plus. Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles, balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Demonstrated ability to perform cash flow analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial report interpretation. Experience working with SOX compliance controls and internal audit procedures. Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to collect data efficiently and interpret complex financial concepts clearly. Effective communication skills for preparing detailed reports on financial performance and presenting findings confidently.
