Annually Position Overview:
The Vision Companies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or accounting professionals early in their careers who are eager to apply their education and develop their skills in a professional business environment. The Accountant will support a variety of accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll processing, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and committed to maintaining accuracy while working in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Operations Assist with the preparation and processing of invoices, accounts payable transactions, and employee expense reports Process weekly employee timesheet data Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll Enter and maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Support financial reporting and accounting analysis as needed Maintain accounting documentation and financial records Reporting & Compliance Assist with internal audits and compliance-related activities Review financial data for accuracy and completeness Support preparation of reports for management review Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures Administrative & Team Support Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems Collaborate with accounting and administrative team members on special projects Support continuous process improvement initiatives Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship Preferred Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems Internship, accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or related accounting experience Experience working with payroll, accounts payable, or financial reporting
Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based environment Occasional remote work opportunities based on business needs Standard first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday Frequent computer use and data entry Regular interaction with accounting staff, management, and business partners Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and accuracy Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds Ability to maintain focus while reviewing financial data and reports
