Company Description Hospitality Purchasing Consultants (HPC) is a specialized procurement agent supporting owners of hotels, restaurants, country clubs, and other hospitality properties with capital project planning and execution. The company focuses on sourcing Furniture, Fixtures & Artwork (FF&A) and Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) for hospitality projects of varying size and complexity. Using a combination of data-driven decision-making, strong vendor relationships, and disciplined project management, HPC helps clients complete projects on time and within budget. Team members collaborate closely with operators, owners, and vendors, offering a professional environment for finance and accounting professionals interested in the hospitality and capital projects space. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Financial Accountant at HPC. The Financial Accountant will prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules for multiple hospitality projects and entities. Daily responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger, processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings. The role involves managing project-related revenues and costs, monitoring budgets versus actuals, and supporting detailed financial reporting for internal stakeholders and clients. The Financial Accountant will also work with accounting software to streamline workflows, assist with cash flow monitoring, support audits, and contribute to process improvements and documentation. Qualifications Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to produce accurate and timely financial information. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and related tools for general ledger management, reconciliations, and reporting. Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and provide clear, actionable insights. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or progress toward certification) is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation standards. Experience in project-based accounting, professional services, or hospitality is advantageous. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fully remote environment. High degree of integrity, reliability, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
