Job Description
Fund Accountant This is a remote role with 1-2 days in the office per month. • Candidate must live within a reason commute from Lewes, Delaware We are seeking a Fund Accountant to join a growing real estate investment management firm located at the Delaware beaches. This role will support the accounting and financial reporting functions for multiple investment entities and funds within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. The position offers strong exposure to leadership, investment operations, and partnership-level accounting concepts. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial reporting packages Perform month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis Maintain investor capital accounts and partnership allocations Support carried interest and waterfall calculations Assist with Net Operating Income (NOI) analysis and operational reporting Manage multiple levels of accounting books across investment entities and partnerships Work with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party administrators Support cash management, capital calls, and investor distributions Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies within the accounting function Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of accounting experience within fund accounting, partnership accounting, real estate, or financial services Understanding of partnership-level financial concepts including carried interest, investor capital accounts, and multiple tiers of accounting books Strong knowledge of financial reporting and account reconciliations Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment CPA or public accounting experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Bonus opportunity Partial remote flexibility Strong long-term career growth potential Collaborative and team-oriented culture
