General Ledger Accountant inDrive Accounting & Finance Posted on Jun 6, 2026 Apply now Join the inDrive Accounting Hub in India as a Senior GL Accountant specializing in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle. This is a high-impact, individual contributor role designed for a technically proficient and commercially aware. As a key member of our Global Shared Services Center (SSC), you will ensure the integrity of our financial data by managing the end-to-end accounting for expenses. You will serve as a vital bridge between global operations and financial reporting, maintaining a balance between operational excellence and strategic business partnership in a fast-paced, highly international environment. Department Global Financial Reporting, Accounting and Tax Employment Type Full Time Location India Address New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi Workplace type Hybrid Reporting To Rajendra Choudhary Responsibilities Accruals Management & Month-End Close Own and manage the end-to-end accrual process across regions, ensuring completeness and accuracy of expense recognition. Prepare, review, and post monthly accrual journal entries in line with applicable accounting standards. Work closely with business, procurement, and FP&A teams to obtain reliable inputs and estimates for accruals. Ensure timely reversal and validation of accruals in subsequent periods. Perform variance analysis between actuals and accruals, highlighting key movements and risks. Financial Control & Compliance Ensure accruals are recorded in accordance with applicable accounting policies (US GAAP/Local GAAP). Maintain adequate documentation and audit trail supporting all accrual entries. Strengthen controls around accrual estimation, review, and approvals to ensure audit readiness. Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and explanations. Process Improvement & Reporting Drive standardization and automation of accrual processes across entities. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accrual processes. Prepare and analyze accrual trackers, dashboards, and reports for management review. Identify gaps in current processes and proactively implement improvements to reduce manual dependencies and improve accuracy. Stakeholder Management Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across geographies to ensure timely submission of accrual inputs. Act as a bridge between accounting, Financial controllers, FP&A, and business teams to resolve discrepancies and improve forecasting accuracy.
Qualifications Professional Qualification:
Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) .
Post-Qualification Experience:
4-5 years of experience in a global accounting environment or a Tier-1 Shared Services Center (SSC). Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
Technical Expertise:
2-3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite is mandatory.
GAAP Knowledge:
Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and local statutory reporting requirements.
