The Role As General Ledger Accountant, you will own the monthly close process and financial reporting for a portfolio of condominium associations. You will work across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Management, and Association Managers — serving as the accounting authority and communication bridge between internal teams and association boards. What You'll Do Drive accurate, timely month-end close: prepare journal entries and reconcile cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets, and other accounts Reconcile Accounts Receivable and Payable to the general ledger Reconcile all bank accounts and fund balances to appropriate general ledgers Produce consolidated fund Balance Sheets and Revenue & Expense statements Review monthly GL reports and ensure GAAP compliance Translate financial data into clear, accessible summaries for Association Boards and managers Support annual audits and assist with budget preparation Participate in process-improvement initiatives and departmental projects Compensation & Benefits $35.00/hr+ starting wage ($72,900 annualized) — or commensurate with experience 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee premium) Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) 401(k) retirement plan Generous paid time off + paid holidays Education reimbursement / tuition assistance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Hybrid work model available after successful onboarding and training Growth Opportunity High-performers have the opportunity to advance into a lead/mentor capacity, guiding junior GL Accountants and shaping team processes. What We're Looking For Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR equivalent community association accounting experience Solid command of GAAP, with hands-on accrual accounting and fund accounting expertise Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy Clear written and verbal communication skills — able to explain financials to non-accountants Preferred Background in community/condominium association management accounting Experience with property management accounting software Familiarity with multi-use building reconciliations and budget preparation About CWD Group CWD Group is a privately-held community association management firm specializing in common ownership interest management.
