Interim Senior Accountant

Interim Senior Accountant Hoover, AL | Hybrid $45-55/hr | Full-Time (40 hrs/week) We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant for a contract role supporting a growing client. This position requires strong accounting expertise to manage month-end close, journal entries, and AP/AR while also documenting key financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Document and refine accounting processes to improve efficiency and standardization. Support financial system transitions and software implementations. Collaborate with leadership to ensure smooth financial operations across multiple locations.

Qualifications:

5+ years of accounting experience , preferably in a high-growth or multi-entity environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures. Experience with ERP/accounting systems . Ability to streamline and document financial processes. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
