Job Description
Interim Senior SEC Reporting Manager Our client, a publicly traded organization, is seeking an Interim Senior SEC Reporting Manager to support external financial reporting and compliance during a transition period. This position is hybrid, 2 days/week, in their office in San Francisco, CA. This engagement is expected to last 9 months.
Responsibilities:
Own and execute preparation of quarterly external filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission Draft and review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting reporting materials Partner cross?functionally with accounting, finance, and external auditors to gather and validate reporting inputs Perform stock?based compensation accounting, including calculations, journal entries, and disclosures Apply lease accounting standards across the organization's lease portfolio Perform tie?outs, validate financial data, and ensure consistency across reporting outputs Coordinate finalization and submission of external filings Maintain and enhance reporting documentation, workpapers, and internal processes Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and strengthen internal controls Provide continuity and support to the reporting function during a transitional period
Requirements:
Strong experience in SEC or external reporting within a public company environment Proven experience preparing periodic filings and related disclosures Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and external reporting requirements Hands?on experience with stock?based compensation accounting Experience with lease accounting standards preferred Background in public accounting preferred Ability to operate independently and manage tight reporting deadlines Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Experience working in lean or fast?paced environments
