POSITION SUMMARY
Accounting Associate (Part-Time) The Accounting Associate plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations and serves as a trusted resource to the VP of Finance. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including accounts receivable/accounts payable, general ledger activity, month-end close support, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including deposits, collections, and customer statements Prepare monthly bank reconciliations Administer customer accounts: Set up new customers in ERP system Perform credit checks Maintain sales tax documentation Monitor credit limits and payment status Process credit card payments Partner with customers and state agencies to resolve sales tax inquiries Oversee all sales and use tax activities, including filing, payments, and reporting Support month-end close and assist with special accounting projects as needed Provide backup support for Accounts Payable functions during absences or high-volume periods
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role Experience with sales tax software (e.g., Avalara or similar) preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Outlook Experience with ERP systems; Acumatica experience a plus

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position (25 hours per week) , working Monday through Friday. Schedule is flexible within standard business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Hybrid work arrangement available following initial training period, with a combination of 3 days in-office and 2 days of remote work.
