You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial analysis, all while working in a collaborative environment that values precision and proactive problem-solving. Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Company has an accountant/book keeper on site. Conduct detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain data integrity across all financial records. Supervise accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments, utilizing accounting software (QuickBooks). Perform tax preparation tasks, including tax accounting and estate planning support, ensuring compliance with current securities law and estate law regulations. Assist with auditing procedures by supporting internal controls under SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) standards and preparing audit documentation. Support financial analysis activities by interpreting financial reports, writing financial report interpretations, and providing insights for management decision-making. Contribute to budgeting efforts and financial planning initiatives by analyzing variances and assisting with cost control strategies. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required; active license. Proven experience in GAAP based public accounting or corporate accounting roles with a strong foundation in accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting. Demonstrated expertise in tax experience, including tax preparation, tax law compliance, and estate planning. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks; proficiency in financial software is highly desirable. Knowledge of regulatory reporting standards and securities law related to financial services or investments. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for financial report writing and presentation. Ability to work independently on multiple projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
