About Bradbury Vault Company Bradbury Vault Company is an established manufacturing business serving the cemetery, funeral, and burial vault industry. We manufacture burial vaults and related precast concrete products and provide related delivery and cemetery support services. The company is currently growing, with volume approaching double prior year levels and additional growth opportunities possible through acquisitions. We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, building structure, and helping a growing business scale. Position Summary Bradbury Vault Company is seeking a part-time Manufacturing Cost Accountant / Senior Accountant to work approximately 24-32 hours per week supporting cost accounting, inventory, AP, AR, payroll coordination, tax reporting, month-end close, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing accounting experience who wants a flexible part-time schedule while still making a meaningful impact. The position requires a practical, hands-on accountant who can work independently, communicate with operations, and help improve accounting processes as the company grows. As the business expands, this role may have the opportunity to grow into a broader accounting leadership position, such as Accounting Manager, depending on company needs and candidate performance. Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Support product costing for burial vaults, bases, and related manufactured products.
• Assist with raw materials, WIP, finished goods, inventory valuation, COGS, and gross margin reporting.
• Review inventory activity, support physical inventory counts, and help reconcile inventory records.
• Prepare and review journal entries related to inventory, WIP, COGS, accruals, and other month-end close items.
• Support monthly close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Work with operations to understand production activity, material usage, labor, overhead, and cost drivers.
• Assist with recurring tax reporting, including sales tax, property tax, and similar requirements.
• Prepare and support annual 1099 reporting, including vendor review, W-9 tracking, and year-end filing support.
• Serve as the accounting point of contact with ADP to help ensure payroll processing accuracy.
• Help identify cost trends, margin issues, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support accounting system and process improvements, including QuickBooks Online and Katana Cloud Inventory.
• Help document procedures so accounting processes are scalable and less dependent on tribal knowledge. Qualifications
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with manufacturing cost accounting exposure.
• Experience with inventory, COGS, WIP, product costing, job costing, or standard costing.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
• Experience working with payroll providers such as ADP preferred.
• Familiarity with sales tax, property tax, 1099 reporting, and W-9 tracking preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, reconciliations, and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time, hybrid role.
• Practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a small to mid-sized business environment.
• Change-agent mindset with the ability to improve processes while working collaboratively with the existing team. Preferred Experience
• Manufacturing, construction materials, precast concrete, or similar environment.
• QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, ADP, Katana Cloud Inventory, or similar systems.
• Prior experience improving inventory accuracy, product costing, gross margin reporting, or accounting close processes.
• Ability to help build scalable accounting processes in a growing company.
